letters to Harper - month 3

Three months, sweet girl! 

I can't believe you are three months already! It is so fun to watch you grow and learn.  This month, you are full of beautiful smiles & are getting stronger by the day. This was my last month to be at home full time with you so I tried to soak in every moment. While I absolutely love my job, it was breaking my heart to know that I'd soon be apart from you for hours at a time.

This month was tons of fun because we were finally able to venture out a little more with you. At the beginning of the month, we took your first "roadtrip" to Wimberley. We went out to celebrate your Great Uncle Chip's birthday and you got to meet a lot of family members you hadn't met yet.

I loved showing you around one of MY favorite places as a child. I have such wonderful memories of this beautiful place...warm summers spent splashing in the river with my cousins, gigantic Thanksgiving dinners filled with laughter and stories, and sitting around a bonfire down on the rocks until late at night....I sure hope you have a place that is special to you like that someday. 

Early in the month, we also celebrated Easter. Of course, Mommy had a fun photoshoot with you....don't you look like you're having fun?! :)

Your 1st visit to church!!

We celebrated Easter by taking you to church for the first time. You did great! You sat quietly in Daddy's lap the whole time. I wondered if you recognized the music and voices from when you were in my tummy. That evening we went to dinner at one of our favorite places - Freetail Brewery - with Mia and Papi.

You went on not one, but two play dates with your ol' buddy Gus....

...And celebrated Earth Day by going on a hike with Mommy & Daddy!!

As you can see, it was a busy month! But my favorite part about this month was our everyday routine that we established. You'd wake up in such a sweet mood, ready for a day of fun. I love your face  & your sweet disposition in the mornings!

Then we'd take your brother for a run....

 ...and play on your activity mat with your bug friends.

 You still hate tummy time, but it is making your neck and back so strong!!

 

You're starting to play and interact with your toys more and more....

This is your favorite toy. You smile at it so big!!!

You learned to hold and shake the rattle this month too!

We end our days with a bath. You love splashing around in the water & when you are done, you are so snuggly & relaxed!

You've almost outgrown your sweet purple romper so I couldn't help doing one more photoshoot....you loved it!

This month has been so fun with you. I love love love making you smile and watching you grow and learn. You are getting so strong and really developing a personality of your own. We love you so much, Harper & you've added an immeasurable amount of joy to our lives.
